Tottenham vs Everton: Team News and Predicted Lineups for May24

Last Word on Football brings you the latest team news and predicted lineups for the Tottenham vs Everton clash on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm.

As the Premier League reaches its climax, there are two major issues to be settled: the relegation battle and the race for European qualification. After an abysmal season, Spurs’ fate will be decided on the final day. A draw would effectively seal survival thanks to their superior goal difference over West Ham United. Yet Roberto De Zerbi’s side failed to earn that point at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, and their home form suggests it will be difficult again. With zero home wins in 2026 and just two all season, Tottenham simply cannot afford defeat against Everton.

The Toffees remain in the race for UEFA Conference League qualification; however, reaching Europe would require a victory, other favourable results and a significant goal difference swing. Nonetheless, David Moyes’ side will still be motivated to give themselves a chance. Everton’s form has faltered of late, including a seven-match winless run, and a 3–1 home defeat to Sunderland last time out. Currently sitting 12th and able to finish anywhere between eighth and 14th, supporters will be keen to end that slide.

Spurs have no players suspended.

Dominic Solanke is set to return. Speaking at his press conference, Roberto De Zerbi confirmed: “Solanke is available for tomorrow. We have to decide if he starts or not.”

He added: “Maddison is available. But we have to analyse the physical condition.” Meanwhile, Djed Spence suffered a broken jaw from a collision with Chelsea’s Liam Delap, but the manager assured that “he’s available.”

Xavi Simons, Cristian Romero, Mohamed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Ben Davies are all ruled out.

Everton Team News

No players are suspended for Everton.

Idrissa Gana Gueye has missed the last three games due to injury. Speaking at Friday’s press conference, David Moyes said: “Gueye has been back on the grass. I’d say there’s probably a 50-50 chance he could be involved. We’ll know a bit more once we’ve trained and seen him over the next couple of days.”

Jarrad Branthwaite will be absent, but Moyes provided an update on the defender’s recovery: “Jarrad is making good progress, which you would expect, and he’s moving on. Jarrad has got a programme through the summer.”

Jack Grealish also remains sidelined, and the manager explained: “We’ve looked after Jack since his injury and his injury is coming on. He had quite a bad break in his foot, which has been pinned, and it’s looking in good order now.”
