West Ham United have had issues when it comes to getting goals from their strikers this season, with the likes of Michail Antonio and Danny Ings struggling to find form in the final third. According to Fabrizio Romano, this has led to them looking for options elsewhere, and Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke has reportedly caught their attention.

The transfer insider has confirmed that the Hammers are among the clubs tracking the performances of the Englishman after his heroics in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign for the Cherries.

Romano also adds that it remains to be seen if there is any transfer activity over Solanke in the January transfer window as West Ham keep monitoring him. The Hammers have also been linked with a move for PSG forward Hugo Ekitike and seem determined to add a new striker to their squad in the winter window.
Excelling Under Andoni Iraola
The former Liverpool man has become a surprising inclusion in the Premier League Golden Boot race after scoring eight goals in the first 16 games of the 2023/24 campaign for the Cherries. He has already scored more goals in the league this season than the total amount of goals he scored in the entirety of the last league season.

Solanke seems to be especially impressive under Androna Iraola’s system, which is allowing him to be more of a feature inside the opposition box. He also recently scored for his side in their impressive 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. The striker, who was hailed as a “dream” forward last season, seems to be at his peak right now and it remains to be seen if West Ham make a move for him in January.
