‘It’s Like Finding Elvis Alive’: When Leicester City Defied the Odds and Completed Their Fairytale

As the echoes of last season’s heartbreaks fade away, Leicester City fans eagerly prepare to embrace the excitement of a brand-new and somewhat unknown Championship season. Is The Leicester City Team The Strongest In The Championship?

The Challenge Ahead

It has undoubtedly been an uncomfortable period in the history of the club. But the levels of optimism are high with the appointment of a dynamic manager in Enzo Maresca, who has stated that the team will adopt an attacking style of play. Having spent time as the understudy of Pep Guardiola, fans will hope to see the influence of Guardiola in some of Leicester’s play this season.

Known for its fiercely contested matches and the fight for promotion to the prestigious Premier League, it never fails to deliver drama and excitement. Fans can expect a gruelling race to the top with numerous ups and downs during the course of the season.

The likes of Coady and Winks bring proven Premiership experience, with Mavididi, Hermansen and Doyle all having a point to prove.

Keeping The Faith

Unfortunately, many have criticised the lack of a pre-season for the club. A pre-organised trip to Thailand and Singapore was seen as more of a PA exercise rather than anything of benefit to the team by many. Adding insult to injury, one of the two organised games on this trip against Spurs was cancelled due to monsoon rain which deemed the pitch unplayable.
