A similar situation could emerge soon as Bayer Leverkusen fend off interest in their prized attacking midfielder who has already been capped four times by Germany. Although it must be noted that they believe he will stay until 2024 at the very least, per Romano.
Impressive Season
In just thirteen appearances for his team this season, the teenager has eight goal contributions to his name, with six coming from assists and two being strikes of his own. What will appeal the most to major sides is that four of those contributions have come in the Europa League, showcasing an ability to perform under the pressure of competing in Europe.

While players like Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice steal the headlines it could be the race for Wirtz that becomes one of the most important. A player with youth on their side and the ability to creat scoring opportunities will always be in demand, especially with Romano reporting that the “race is 100% open” for his signature.
