Bournemouth’s Recent Run of Form

With just one win in their last five Premier League matches things are rough for The Cherries right now. They come into this game after back-to-back defeats to Southampton and West Ham United.

Five defeats in 12 league games has left Bournemouth battling to stay away from the relegation zone.

Tottenham’s Run of Form

Tottenham Hotspur find themselves sitting comfortably in the top four after 12 games. They have only two wins in their last five league games, with defeats coming against tough opposition in the form of Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Manchester United. In addition, they’ve drawn two of their past three Champions League fixtures meaning they come into this game on the back of a very inconsistent run.

Spurs will still be smarting from the VAR decision that deemed Harry Kane’s would-be winner against Sporting Lisbon offside in mid-week. After the match, Kane took to Twitter to reveal how “gutted” he felt, but that Spurs still hold their own fate in their hands.

Recent Head to Head

History points things squarely in the favour of The Lilywhites. Bournemouth have lost seven of their last ten games against the away side, their only win over them came back in 2019. Conte’s side can be fairly confident of a win in this one given their tendency to beat the Cherries.

Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction

Despite both sides having very inconsistent stretches coming into this game, we have to favour the top four side to get the win here. Gary O’Neill’s side only has one win to their name against their opposition in ten meetings and with their current slump, it doesn’t seem likely that they’ll be getting that elusive second win this time around.

Current Betting Odds: Bournemouth vs Tottenham

Paddypower list the visiting side as the favourites for this match with odds of 4/6 to come away with the win. At 11/4 they also think it’s more likely this match ends in a draw than with a home win.
