Premier League Predictions

After a midweek set of fixtures that saw Chelsea stutter at Brentford and Manchester United brush Tottenham Hotspur aside, yet more Premier League football is upon us! The Red Devils will visit Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge looking to prove they can put on a big performance away from home. Meanwhile, Spurs look to bounce back, hosting Newcastle United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Our team have their say on what might happen in Premier League predictions.

Premier League Predictions Matchweek 13

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool

Jamie Rooke: 0-3

Dan Hepburn: 1-3

Joe Blackburn: 0-4

Jordan Hackett: 0-3

Liverpool have a poor record when playing away from Anfield this season but after a fine 1-0 win over Manchester City last week which they followed up with a 1-0 win over West Ham United, it’s hard to see anything other than a Liverpool win at The City Ground in Saturday afternoon’s early kick-off.

Jordan Hackett

Everton vs Crystal Palace

Jamie Rooke: 1-0

Dan Hepburn: 0-0

Joe Blackburn: 0-2

Jordan Hackett: 2-0

Ex-players turned managers are the topic of conversation at the moment. Steven Gerrard has been sacked whilst Frank Lampard and Patrick Vieira seem to have their respective fans on side. Everton, with home advantage, could edge out Crystal Palace in a narrow affair.

Jamie Rooke

Manchester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Jamie Rooke: 4-0

Dan Hepburn: 4-2

Joe Blackburn: 4-0

Jordan Hackett: 3-0

Manchester City have stayed on a strong run of form, only slightly wavering against rivals Liverpool and Copenhagen. Brighton & Hove Albion make the trip to the Etihad this weekend, having had strong performances under Roberto De Zerbi so far. It’s hard to say they’ve been strong enough to overcome City. With Erling Haaland’s record at home so far, it’s hard to see anything but a Manchester City win. 4-0.

Joe Blackburn

Chelsea vs Manchester United

Jamie Rooke: 1-2

Dan Hepburn: 1-2

Joe Blackburn: 2-0

Jordan Hackett: 1-2

Manchester United impressed all with their 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night, never giving Antonio Conte’s side a sniff. Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is yet another test for Erik ten Hag’s side, who have recorded their best wins at Old Trafford. Graham Potter will be looking to get a second win over the Dutch coach this season, having won at the Theatre of Dreams in August with Brighton & Hove Albion. United can be fancied to edge this.

Jordan Hackett

Aston Villa vs Brentford

Jamie Rooke: 0-2

Dan Hepburn: 1-2

Joe Blackburn: 0-1

Jordan Hackett: 2-2

It’s difficult to know what to expect from Aston Villa in this game after Steven Gerrard was sacked immediately following a 3-0 loss to Fulham in midweek. The Villains will be hoping to put on a show in front of their home supporters after a miserable start to the season. However, Brentford will not back down. They held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw in midweek and have had a decent start to the season with Ivan Toney starring, this might well be a score draw.

Jordan Hackett

Leeds United vs Fulham

Jamie Rooke: 1-2

Dan Hepburn: 2-0

Joe Blackburn: 2-2

Jordan Hackett: 1-1

Leeds United have been on a dire run of form recently without a win in their past seven games. They welcome a Fulham side that has been overachieving in comparison to their expectations, with Aleksandar Mitrovic being the star of the show in West London. Jesse Marsch is already under pressure, and a predicted 2-2 draw will do nothing to alleviate the fears of relegation.

Joe Blackburn

Southampton vs Arsenal

Jamie Rooke: 0-3

Dan Hepburn: 0-2

Joe Blackburn: 1-3

Jordan Hackett: 1-2

Arsenal continue to prove the doubters wrong and continue to build up steam this season. A trip to the south coast where they’ll play Southampton is a chance to further embellish their title credentials. Ralph Hasenhuttl will be intent on spoiling the party but that is unlikely to be the case.

Jamie Rooke

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Leicester City

Jamie Rooke: 1-2

Dan Hepburn: 0-1

Joe Blackburn: 0-0

Jordan Hackett: 1-1

Neither Wolverhampton Wanderers nor Leicester City have fulfilled their potential 11 games in, with this tie oozing importance with them sitting 18th and 19th in the table, respectively. Brendan Rodgers’ side have picked up the pace in more recent times with James Maddison figure heading the side ahead of the World Cup. With Wolves having dismissed Bruno Lage and Brendan Rodgers seemingly at risk of dismissal, this should entice an integral battle between both sides.

Dan Hepburn

Tottenham Hotspur vs Newcastle United

Jamie Rooke: 1-2

Dan Hepburn: 1-2

Joe Blackburn: 0-1

Jordan Hackett: 1-3

Tottenham were outclassed last time out against a ferocious Manchester United outfit and the Magpies saw out a narrow 1-0 win over Everton, courtesy of Miguel Almiron. Antonio Conte’s men are level on points with league favourites Manchester City and are touted as underdogs this campaign. Undefeated in six games, Newcastle United will hope to continue their unbelievable run of form – but will Newcastle fans continue to dream of Europe following their trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?

Dan Hepburn

West Ham United vs Bournemouth

Jamie Rooke: 2-0

Dan Hepburn: 1-0

Joe Blackburn:

Jordan Hackett: 2-1

West Ham United have been climbing up the Premier League table in recent weeks and a line can be drawn through a midweek loss to Liverpool at Anfield. Bournemouth have shown improved form too, since Scott Parker’s exit – but were beaten by Southampton on Wednesday and may suffer the same fate in London on Monday night.
