Tottenham Hotspur Lineup Prediction vs Bournemouth

How Tottenham Hotspur Have Lined-up Recently

Antonio Conte’s side line up in a 3-4-3, seeing Hugo Lloris protected by three centre-backs, including Eric Dier, Cristian Romero and Clement Llenglet. Wing-backs are a significant part of the Conte system, supplying the side with more width in attack whilst still supporting the defence with more structure on the wings.

Two defensive midfielders sit in front of this back line, both protecting the all-important “Zone 14” whilst providing the attacking line with plenty of supply to work with on the counter. A front line of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and one of Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski provides the goal threat for the North London side.

Tottenham Hotspur Recent Form and Tactics

The Lilywhites have had something of a fall in form recently, having not won a match in the last four times of asking. Early in the season Conte’s side could be praised for their ability to grind out a result in bad circumstances, but this hasn’t been the case for the past few weeks.

Spurs’ manager is staunch in his tactics. In the same vein as a Marcelo Bielsa or a Pep Guardiola, he sticks to his tactics time after time, striving for perfection within his existing system rather than risking the unknown of a new strategy.

Tottenham Hotspur Injuries to Consider

Spurs only have two injuries throughout the squad, both of which are significant to the lineup. Unfortunately, both injuries are to players in the exact same position. Richarlison is struggling with an injury in his lower leg, and whilst it isn’t too serious he won’t be available for the match against the Cherries.

Dejan Kulusevski is also struggling from an injury, this time in the thigh. Antonio Conte mentioned that this was a hiccup in the Swedish forward’s recovery, setting his return back a few weeks and leaving the North London side relatively thin on the ground at the front.
