New Deal on the Horizon

Serge Gnabry has been with Bayern since 2017 following a move from Werder Bremen. He spent one year with the lower Bundesliga club before earning the step up to Bavaria. He impressed on loan at Hoffenheim and now he is a regular fixture in the starting 11. The faith showed in him by Hansi Flick and now Julian Nagelsmann has paid off – he is a key man for both the German national team and Bayern, contributing to 16 goals in just short of 1,800 Bundesliga minutes thus far this term.

Serge Gnabry is a name known to English fans following his infamous time at Arsenal. He flattered to deceived in North London and even struggled to get minutes under Tony Pulis at West Bromwich Albion, something which is brought up again and again. He is clearly a very different player to the one who struggled in England, this new contract being clear evidence.

Who Else Will Join Serge Gnabry in the Bayern Ranks?

As previously mentioned, alongside Serge Gnabry signing a new contract with the club, there are rumours of possible arrivals. Ryan Gravenberch is a midfielder who is expected to go to the very top and be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come. Noussair Mazraoui is the other name in question. The fullback has been a loyal and consistent servant for Ajax and it appears that Bayern will beat Barcelona to his signature.

A number of famous Dutchmen have ran out for Bayern including Mark van Bommel, Roy Makaay and of course Arjen Robben. In terms of players from Morocco to represent the defending Bundesliga champions, the big name is centre-half Medhi Benatia who also played for Juventus in his successful career.

Serge Gnabry at 26 is coming into his peak years and a new contract at Bayern is certainly a statement of intent from the player and the club. Whilst it hasn’t been officially announced, it will get over the line in the coming weeks most likely.
