Talks Underway Between PSG and Tottenham Hotspur for Tanguy Ndombele Loan

Tanguy Ndombele

As per Jack Pitt-Brooke of The Athletic, talks between Paris Saint-German and Tottenham Hotspur regarding a loan move for Tanguy Ndombele are underway. The deal is still reportedly a long way from completion, however, with a 50-50 chance of it eventually being sealed.

According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG could include a buy option in the deal. With Ndombele reportedly keen on the move, too, it may not be long before we see the Frenchman back in his home country. It would come as little surprise if Ndombele did leave Spurs, considering the tumultuous time he has had at the London club.

Deal Suits Both Parties

Throughout his Spurs career, several excuses have been made for Ndombele, from manger to manager. It seems, however, that Antonio Conte is the final manager in the excuse line. The Italian has found little use for the midfielder since arriving – using him sparingly.

A move to PSG would only benefit Ndombele, and his career. Perhaps it’s exactly what he needs to re-find his form. Under former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, too, he may even improve the Ligue 1 leaders.

Currently, as things stand, PSG sit top and clear in Ligue 1. The main task for Pochettino comes in the Champions League. The Frenchmen are set to face Real Madrid in the Round of 16. It will be a tough ask for PSG to complete. If they do it, however, then they’ll have knocked out one of the favourites.

It is a project that Ndombele will want to be a part of, instead of a rebuilding Spurs side. When initially signed, many tipped the midfielder to make a significant impact at Tottenham Hotspur. Ever since signing, however, he has been on a downward spiral under different managers.
