Crystal Palace have held talks with the former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre, according to Ed Aarons of The Guardian.
The 63-year-old has been out of work since December 2020 after being sacked by the German club.

Interest From Elsewhere
Although Favre is interested in taking the managerial role at Selhurst Park, the 63-year-old does have offers from elsewhere in the Premier League.
Palace are one of several sides without a manager in the Premier League, following the departure of Roy Hodgson at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
The Eagles have been linked with several candidates and came to close appointing Nuno Espirito Santo following his departure from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, talks broke down with the Portuguese over disputes about his backroom staff, meaning that they had to move on to other targets. He also held talks with Everton, but the Toffees have again switched their attention to other targets.
Favre is the latest manager to be linked to the hotseat at Selhurst Park. The Swiss was last in charge of Borussia Dortmund, where he spent two-and-a-half-years in charge.
During his time at the Westfalenstadion, Favre helped the club finish second in the Bundesliga in back-to-back seasons. He also won the DFL-Supercup, but could not lead Dortmund beyond the Round of 16 in the Champions League.
Prior to his spell with Dortmund, Favre enjoyed a two-year spell with Nice in France. The Eaglets finished third in an impressive debut campaign for the Swiss, but his second campaign was disastrous as they slipped to eight in the Ligue 1 table.
However, Palace are facing competition for his signature. He reportedly has interest from other Premier League clubs, meaning that Everton and Tottenham – the only two other teams without a manager – are also in the hunt.
