Hansi Flick Bayern Munich Departure Could Continue Bundesliga Managerial Shake-up

Hansi Flick Bayern Munich

The Hansi Flick Bayern Munich departure, which he has confirmed that he has asked for at the end of the season, will only continue the Bundesliga managerial merry-go-round. Already, we’ve seen Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marco Rose complete a switch to Dortmund, ready for the summer, and Frankfurt manager Adi Hutter take his place.

For years, it’s been the players to go from club to club in the Bundesliga- almost in an American-styled draft fashion. Now, it looks as though it’s the turn of the managers.

With one of the best jobs in world football set to be vacant, too, many will be desperate to take the seat left behind by Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich.

Julian Nagelsmann: The Main Target

As alluded to before, the best players in Germany often find themselves wearing the famous red of Munich. Now, it seems it could be the turn of one of the Bundesliga’s finest managers in Julian Nagelsmann to make the switch.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the RB Leipzig manager is the main target following Flick’s departure at the end of the season. Should the German decide to take the job, a position will open up at Leipzig- Bayern’s closest competitors.

The fact is, Flick’s departure will likely have the same knock-on effect as Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Rose appointment did to kick off the managerial shake-up in the first place. Come the summer, a new man will be at Bayern Munich- the Bundesliga’s best side- and a new man at the second-best Bundesliga side could soon follow.

Nagelsmann, at 33, is possibly the best young manager around. He is the future of football. But it is his future to decide, and he’ll undoubtedly have a bunch of offers on the table this summer.

Hansi Flick Could Take Germany Job After Bayern Munich

With the German national team job vacated after the Euros, they’ll need a new manager. When the news of Joachim Low’s departure first reached the headlines, three names were mentioned as ideal candidates. Jurgen Klopp, Julian Nagelsmann and Hansi Flick.

Klopp is at Liverpool and is staying- he made that much clear. As for Nagelsmann, at 33, his time in club management is far from over. That leaves Flick, a man who will be conveniently out of a job just in time to take the role at Germany.

Looking at the record of Flick at Bayern Munich, too, he looks like the ideal manager to take the reigns and transform the German national team once more. In truth, they need him more than he needs them. Flick was comfortable at Bayern, perhaps too comfortable, winning it all.

Germany, however, are in no position to push for success. Just recently, they lost to North Macedonia in an embarrassing international break. Flick, if he takes the job, will have some task on his hands. He’ll have plenty of talent on his hands, however, and enough familiar faces to choose from, too.

He transformed Bayern from what looked like their weakest side in years into an unstoppable winning machine. He has the resources to do the same with the German national team should he take the job.
