Nottingham Forest fans have shared their thoughts on Twitter following their 3-1 win over Millwall – a seventh game without defeat for the Reds.
Nottingham Forest Fans React as Unbeaten Run Extends to Seven Matches
Positive Form Continues
The result lifts Chris Hughton’s side six points adrift of the three relegation places after a third straight victory.
Forest opened the scoring on 34 minutes through Sammy Ameobi. The winger put the Reds ahead with a low driven strike from 20 yards.
Shaun Hutchinson put Nottingham Forest fans’ hearts in their mouths with a looping header three minutes later; Lewis Grabban was in the right place at the right time to clear the Millwall effort off the line.
Forest doubled their lead on 70 minutes as Ameobi netted his second of the afternoon. A quick one-two with Alex Mighten allowed Ameobi into space, who curled a powerful strike beyond Bartosz Bialkowski.
Ryan Yates added a third for Forest late on, bundling home a corner from Cafu, to cap off a dominant Forest performance.
Forest Fans React to Millwall Win
The result left Nottingham Forest fans with plenty to talk about after the full-time whistle.
A positive performance from the whole squad, two-time goalscorer Ameobi was the name on most people’s lips.
But defensive pairing Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna also received plenty of praise on Twitter from Nottingham Forest fans.
I think the return of Joe Worrall has made all the difference. He might not have the captain’s armband, but I think he leads by example. Everybody around him knows how much Forest means to him. #nffc

McKenna and Worrall looking good. Cafu seems to be bucking the trend with signings from Olympiacos and having a positive impact. To be fair I don’t really feel Yates is putting a foot wrong either. #nffc

Very good 3 points today for #nffc. Solid at the back, Worrall & Mckenna look like a good partnership (fingers crossed) Yates did well in a scrap, Cafu a nice plus & MOM Ameobi with 2 excellent goals.

The victory, their third in a row, extends Forest’s unbeaten run to seven matches.
But one major talking point afterwards proved to be the levels of passion and desire on show from the players.
