Second Chelsea Defender Reportedly Seeking Italy Exit

There are sure to be a number of outgoings from Chelsea this summer, particularly in an overstocked back line that won’t have European football to offer minutes to players. Rumours and reports are now coming out that not one but two centre backs could be making their way from Stamford Bridge to Italy with Serie A clubs showing interest.

Two Chelsea Defenders Could Leave for Serie A This Summer

Older Trevoh Chalobah Reports

One name was already known and reported credibly by Fabrizio Romano. Cobham graduate Trevoh Chalobah has been linked to both Como and Inter Milan in a deal that could be worth over £20 million for the English defender.

With two teams interested in the defender and him representing a chance for pure profit, his exit is quite likely after a campaign spent as a regular option for the Blues. This is the more credible and more likely exit, but it isn’t the only outgoing rumour.

New Benoit Badiashile Rumours

The other centre-back who could be following Chalobah from London to Italy is former AS Monaco man Benoit Badiashile. Signed with some potential, the Frenchman is a tall, agile ball player who has struggled with fitness and consistency since making his move to Chelsea. He has shown flashes of greatness but equally been caught out by the sheer speed and physicality of the Premier League.

Rumours from Italy indicate that AC Milan could offer a second chance to the defender as they have been asked to pay a fee around £17 million for the 25-year-old. As of now, these are rather unviable rumours from Italian journalists but with the Serie A already being seen as an exit door for one Blues defender, it could certainly be used to offload an out-of-favour Badiashile who has struggled to kick on at Stamford Bridge.
