Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Trevoh Chalobah has representatives in Milan currently. Talks are said to be underway with Inter Milan to discuss a move with Como also noted to have interest in signing the Englishman. An important addition from Romano is that the Cobham graduate “wants to play in Italy”.

That new wrinkle adds some substance to the transfer rumours and makes it more likely that the 26-year-old will exit in the summer.
Is This a Good Move
Whether it is Inter or Como, they will be getting a proven, experienced defender who has always managed to make his way into the manager’s plans. He has featured in a back four, a back three, and even as a right back as a testament to his versatility and mental fortitude when on the field. He’s been cast off on loans and been brought back to the Blues to play regularly, one thing is for certain, he doesn’t quit.

With the Serie A having a reputation as a highly defensive league, he could fit in like a glove to any top team, particualrly as it is a less physically demanding league where Chalobah’s strengths stand out, with his pace in particular likely to be an asset in Italy. The big question would be what fee he eventually goes for.
