Last Word on Football brings you the latest team news and the confirmed lineups ahead of the Germany vs Ecuador World Cup group stage game from the MetLife Stadium, USA. Kick off is scheduled for 21:00 in the UK and 16:00 in the US.
Die Mannschaft have already qualified from Group E, but will be looking to go three from three against an Ecuador team that have failed to live up to pre-tournament hype. Last time out, Germany relied on a Deniz Undav brace to get past the Ivory Coast, whereas Ecuador were held to a goalless draw with Curacao.
With interesting team news coming from the Germany camp and an unwanted record to avoid for Ecuador, this one will have plenty of eyes on it.

Germany vs Ecuador Team News and Confirmed Lineups: Will Ecuador Finally Turn Up?
Germany Team News
Germany were hit with a huge injury this week as first choice left centre back, Nico Schlotterbeck, has been ruled out for the remainder of the World Cup. The Broussia Dortmund man suffered an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his left ankle against Ivory Coast and therefore will play no further part in this year’s World Cup.
The options to replace Schlotterbeck in the starting XI for the upcoming Germany vs Ecuador fixture come in the form of Real Madrid’s Antonio Rudiger, Schlotterbeck’s Dortmund partner, Waldemar Anton or Newcastle’s Malick Thiaw. Germany cannot call any further players up as the tournament has already started.
After an impressive campaign thusfar, Undaz could have earned himself a start against Ecuador.

Ecuador Team News
Despite no injury concerns, Ecuador could still change their starting XI. If they fail to score, they will become the first team since Bolivia in 1950 from South American to fail to register a single goal in a World Cup tournament.
Despite 16 shots on target across two games, Ecuador are yet to record a goal and former West Ham and Everton striker, Enner Valencia has failed to impress of his two starts.
