England World Cup Squad Announced

Thomas Tuchel has this morning named his 26-man England World Cup squad for this summer’s finals in North America.

Last week, the Three Lions boss submitted a 55-man provisional squad, and since then has been reducing this to the 26 players he will take to the finals in the hope that they can be successful and end a 60-year wait for a trophy at a major tournament.

Rumours began circulating yesterday that certain players had been told they would not be part of the squad. One of those was Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, who told TalkSport, “I was confident I could have played a major part this summer for my country after the season I’ve had. “I’ve been left shocked and gutted by the decision. I wish the players all the best.”

The final decision has been made, and here are the players that Thomas Tuchel has decided will give the Three Lions the best chance of having a successful tournament, and he has made some surprising decisions.
