Out: Idrissa Gueye (knock), Jack Grealish (stress fracture of foot), and Jarrod Braithwaite (hamstring)

During his pre-match press conference, Everton boss David Moyes gave an update on those currently out injured. He said: “Idrissa’s not fit for the game. Jarrad Branthwaite is out as well. He’s back on the grass, but he’s just not available for this game. There’s an outside chance he could make Tottenham, so we’ll see how it goes.

Sunderland Team News

Available: Bertrand Traore, Nilson Angulo, and Jocelin Ta Bi

Out: Simon Moore (broken hand), Romaine Mundle (hamstring), and Dan Ballard (suspended)

Sunderland’s head coach, Regis Le Bris, spoke about their first season back in the Premier League and whether he thought his side had overperformed. He said: “The expectations at the start, the odds were really low, so it’s a big achievement, so we are really proud of this achievement. The exposure to problems and big teams helps. The evolution of the players is good too, many of the players had not got Premier League experience. It’s very positive.”
