Everton Team News

This game will also be Seamus Coleman’s last for Everton at home after 17 years. However, it is unlikely that he will be given a start, but a cameo to mark the occasion is almost a certainty.

Ahead of the game, Coleman said, “After more than 17 years at this great football club, I’ve decided this season will be my last as a player here.

“I want to thank the fans for their unbelievable support. You’ve helped me in more ways than you could imagine. I’ve always tried my best to put Everton Football Club first, and you all mean the world to me. I live in the city – I see you all daily – and I’ve taken your love of the Football Club back into the dressing room to explain to the lads how much Everton means to the people.”

Sunderland Team News

Manager of the season nominee Regis Le Bris will be without the following players for the trip to Merseyside. Simon Moore and Romaine Mundle remain on the sidelines through injury, while Dan Ballard is out due to suspension.

Bertrand Traore is expected to travel, having recovered from injury and taken part in full training over the past couple of weeks. Fellow wingers Nilson Angulo and Jocelin Ta Bi are also expected to be a part of the squad and could feature.

In his pre-match press conference, Regis Le Bris spoke about being nominated for the manager of the season award. He said: “It’s a collective achievement. No matter the result, it highlights the quality of the group and the season overall. The Premier League is a rollercoaster with highs and lows, but at the end of the season, I think this kind of recognition is very important for us.”
