Tottenham vs Leeds: Confirmed Lineups and Team News

Here is the latest team news and confirmed lineups as Tottenham Hotspur host Leeds United this evening in the Premier League. Tottenham vs Leeds promises to be a tense battle, with both clubs still playing for survival. Following a 2–1 victory against Aston Villa, Roberto De Zerbi appears to have steered Spurs in the right direction. Despite Villa fielding a heavily rotated side, that victory came after a 1–0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers and an encouraging draw against Brighton & Hove Albion. With Spurs in abysmal form for much of the season, the De Zerbi-led improvement came at a crucial time with just three matches remaining.

Leeds enter this match in a far more comfortable position. Daniel Farke’s side are unbeaten in their last six league fixtures, and have managed three wins in the last four. Last week’s 3–1 victory over Burnley has left a six-point buffer over tonight’s opponents. Farke will be aware that continuing that form in north London could effectively secure Leeds’ Premier League status for next season.

Below are the confirmed lineups for Tottenham vs Leeds.

No players are suspended for the hosts.

Asked for an update on Guglielmo Vicario at Thursday’s press conference, Roberto De Zerbi replied: “No, Vicario is not ready yet.”

Dominic Solanke is also expected to miss this match. De Zerbi said: “He’s improving very quickly. I don’t know for this game. We hope for the next game at Stamford Bridge.”

While James Maddison has returned to the bench in recent weeks, De Zerbi appears to be cautious with the playmaker. The manager explained: “I’m thinking about Maddison, maybe he’s not ready yet to play.”

Injured: Xavi Simons, Cristian Romero, Mohamed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Ben Davies.

No players are suspended for Leeds.

Leeds will be without attacker Noah Okafor. Assistant manager Edmund Riemer, filling in for Farke, told reporters: “Noah picked up a calf strain so he will miss the next two games. We are hopeful that he will be available for the last game.”

Riemer then confirmed Gabriel Gudmundsson’s absence: “Gabriel will be out for this week and then we need to assess him on a daily basis so hopefully he can be with us as soon as possible.”

Pascal Struijk’s status is uncertain, but Riemer explained: “Pascal is not going to train with us today. He has a hip contusion. He will train individually but we are hopeful that he will be available.”

Ilia Gruev is ruled out after he suffered a meniscus injury in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
