Arsenal Team News

During the pre-match press conference, Arteta was asked if there are any fresh injury concerns:

“Bukayo [Saka] probably is going to be in the squad, so good news,” said the Gunners boss.

On the availability of Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber, Arteta said:

“[Riccardo] probably in the squad as well. Jurrien not in the squad.”

When asked how Saka has been this week, Arteta said: “We have given him some time because there was a moment that he was struggling to sustain the performances because he wasn’t comfortable at all and we’ve done that so he had the right treatment, the right space. He had some time as well for himself and now it’s the most important part of the season and he’s back with us.”

Newcastle Team News

During his presser, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe discussed the availability of Tino Livramento, who was injured against Bournemouth last Saturday:

“He went for a scan initially, we don’t think it’s a bad injury. Wait and see whether he’ll play again this season but he will have another scan at the weekend to determine the full extent of his time out.”

“very level-headed and stable mentally” but has had a “frustrating season, which is the life of a footballer,” added Howe.

Discussing Anthony Gordon’s availability, the Geordies boss said:

“He won’t make the game, hasn’t trained this week. Not a serious injury but not in time for this game, hopefully the next one.”

Howe also spoke on Bruno Guimaraes: “(He) has had a full week of training and he has trained really well. He’s such an important player for us on so many levels that of course we are keen to get him on the pitch as soon as possible.”
