Striker Suspended: Latest Oxford United Team and Injury News for Norwich Clash

Oxford United have a few injuries, unregistered players and one suspension ahead of the visit of Norwich on Tuesday night.

The Canaries are without ten first-team players for the trip but are in good form despite the number of absentees.

Hidde ter Avest – Hamstring

Defender Hidde ter Avest should have been back later this month but the defender wasn’t included in Bloomfield’s 25-man squad.

Tyler Goodrham – Ankle

And it’s the same for academy graduate, Tyler Goodrham, although he has been ruled out for the rest of the season following surgery on his ankle.

Nik Prelec – Groin

Loanee Nik Prelec remains sidelined with a groin injury and still faces some time out of the squad.

Jamie Donley – Shoulder

January signing Jamie Donley remains sidelined with a shoulder injury he picked up on his debut against MK Dons.

Brian De Keersmaecker– Shoulder

Brian De Keersmaecker is expected to miss around a month of football after picking up a shoulder injury in recent weeks.

Stan Mills – Knock

Winger Stan Mills missed the trip to the CBS Arena but Bloomfield is yet to give any details on his injury.

Will Lankshear – Suspended

Striker Will Lankshear was handed two quick yellow cards in Oxford’s draw at Coventry and will miss the game through suspension.

Jack Currie – Ankle

Having missed the last few fixtures, Jack Currie could be available for this game after recovering from an ankle injury.

Harry Amass – Hamstring

January signing Harry Amass has already suffered an injury blow during a training session. The on-loan Manchester United defender faces a lengthy spell out.

Ante Crnac – ACL

Former Canaries boss Liam Manning confirmed that Ante Crnac will miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament back in October.

Shane Duffy – Hamstring

Defender Shane Duffy picked up an injury during an U21 game back in December.

Amankwah Forson – Hamstring

23-year-old Amankwah Forson picked up a hamstring injury during the first game of the season against Millwall. He made a brief return to action but has been sidelined since December with the same injury.

Gabriel Forsyth – Knee

Young midfielder Gabriel Forsyth has had surgery on his knee for the second time as medical staff search for a solution to his injury nightmare. The 19-year-old has been out with the same issue since November last year.

Matej Jurasek – Foot

Despite making a recent return, big-money signing Matej Jurasek has been ruled out with a foot injury.

Pelle Mattsson – Ankle

Midfielder Pelle Mattsson is out for “several weeks” with an ankle injury he picked up in the recent win against Coventry.

Jeffrey Schlupp – Hamstring

Premier League winner Jeffrey Schlupp remains sidelined with a hamstring injury he sustained back in November.

Mirko Topić – ACL

Mirko Topić is expected to miss the remainder of the campaign after picking up an ACL injury against the U’s when the sides met at Carrow Road in November.

Lucien Mahovo – Muscle

Left-back Lucien Mahovo has only recently returned to action but is once again out with a muscle injury.
