Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus according to leading journalists Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein.

Kudus Costs Tottenham a Sizeable Fee
Thomas Frank’s side are reportedly paying around £55 million to secure the services of the Ghanaian international. Neither Romano nor Ornstein have made it clear as to whether there are any add-ons involved in the deal, but the initial fee already represents a significant outlay for a Tottenham side who are notoriously reluctant to spend big under Daniel Levy. According to Transfermarkt, Kudus will become, at least, the second most expensive signing in Tottenham’s history.

The 24-year-old is set to sign a six-year deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, thereby keeping him in North London for the prime of his career. Ornstein reports that the versatile attacker is due to have his medical on Thursday before the deal is finally confirmed, whilst Romano gave his “Here We Go”.
Despite rumoured interest from Chelsea, Kudus “only wanted Tottenham” according to Romano. The Blues may not be too unhappy about the transfer falling through as they have recently signed another young, yet Premier League-proven attacker in Joao Pedro.
Why Have Spurs Signed Kudus?
Although his performance levels this season may have dipped, Kudus clearly has tonnes of underlying talent. In fact, his manager at West Ham, Graham Potter, acknowledged this in an interview in February, saying that Kudus had been “brilliant“, but that this has not been recognised by the football world due to West Ham having a poor season.

Although Spurs looked good at points under Ange Postecoglou, they majorly lacked strength in depth in all areas of the pitch. Kudus is able to play on either wing, in the number 10 position and as a striker which will help add to a high-potential Tottenham attack that includes the likes of James Maddison and Dominic Solanke.
The North London giants are also entering the Champions League this season, meaning they will have to cope with an even more vigorous fixture schedule than they did in the 2024/25 campaign. Kudus will therefore have plenty of opportunities to showcase his talent to Spurs fans; he has the potential to become a real fan favourite at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
