Ornstein states that the Spanish side have been monitoring Alexander-Arnold’s situation for two years and are now doing everything possible to make him agree on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. However, it’s also noted by the journalist that they will need to inform Liverpool when or if the defender signs a contractual agreement to join them in the summer.
Fabrizio Romano has also reported that Real Madrid have now officially sent their contract offer to the 26-year-old’s representatives. He claims that discussions are underway and all relevant parties remain confident of the Englishman agreeing to move to the La Liga side next season.
