England look to cap off an impressive March (2025) international break by defeating Latvia in their second 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers clash at Wembley Stadium on Monday (March 24, 2025). The Three Lions look to get a dominant second win under Thomas Tuchel, who will probably ask for a more clinical and attractive performance after the recent gritty win over Albania. Here is our England predicted lineup for the upcoming clash against Latvia.
England Predicted Lineup vs Latvia for 2026 FIFA World Cup Clash
How England Have Lined Up Recently
Thomas Tuchel opted to retain the majority of the England players who impressed in final matches of 2024. Jordan Pickford remains a mainstay in the goal, while Kyle Walker and Ezri Konsa also seem to have their places set in the defensive areas, while Myles Lewis-Skelly’s goal in his England debut raised his reputation in the team.

Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice have made themselves regular starters in midfield, while Marcus Rashford has regained a starting role on the left-wing. Harry Kane is also undroppable in that no.9 role. The right-wing role, however, remains relatively open in the England side becauase of Phil Foden’s uncompelling efforts in the last game.
England Recent Form and Tactics
The Three Lions have been in pretty dominant form in international football since their defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final. Since then, they have won six of their last seven games, which has included winning their last three games by scoring 10 goals and not conceding a single goal. Tuchel has continued with the 4-2-3-1 formation that England have gone with since Gareth Southgate’s exit and has made them quite dominant in terms of holding onto the possession pretty well.

The German boss is also encouraging his full-backs to be more proactive in terms of making more adventurous runs into the final third, which allowed Lewis-Skelly’s goal in the recent win over Albania. He is allowing his players to play their natural games, giving freedom to the midfielders to roam into attacking areas and urging more delivery into Kane’s path in the box.
He has also ensured a sturdy defensive line, where the two midfield pivot players often deep back to help shield the four-man defensive line strongly. England will take the fight to Latvia, pushing more and more players forward to crowd their box and amplify their goal-scoring threat.
England Injuries to Consider
Anthony Gordon picked up a hip injury in England’s recent win over Albania and he has been forced to withdraw from the national camp as a result. Tuchel is also without crucial players like Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, Harry Maguire and Trent Alexander-Arnold for this upcoming game.
