Chelsea Confirmed Lineup vs Southampton for February 25

This is the Chelsea confirmed lineup for their Premier League clash with Southampton on February 25. The Blues are on a dismal run of form but are hoping to turn that around against one of the worst teams in the competition, possibly one of the worst in league history. After a slightly more positive display against Aston Villa, it will be interesting to see who or what Enzo Maresca changes this time around to get him the win.

Chelsea Team News

Filip Jorgensen starts in goal with a back line of Malo Gusto, Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Colwill, and Marc Cucurella. Moises Caicedo partners Enzo Fernandez in the midfield as per usual. Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho, and Christopher Nkunku make up the attacking four.

Rob Sanchez is on the bench alongside Josh Acheampong, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Ishe Samuels-Smith, Mathias Amougou, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tyrique George, and Shim Mheuka

Chelsea Lineup: Jorgensen, Cucurella, Colwill, Tosin, Gusto, Enzo, Caicedo, Neto, Palmer, Sancho, Nkunku

Notable Changes

There are no real moves made by the manager. The only changes are the needed moves of Tosin coming in for the injured Trevoh Chalobah and  James being rested and not starting as an additional midfielder.

The attacking four is likely to remain the same with Neto as the false nine, although we could see Palmer start on the right again and invert with Gusto given license to overlap with the Englishman and Nkunku operating in the central space.

Southampton Team News

Ramsdale, Sugawara, Bree, Bella-Kotchap, Aribo, Walker-Peters, Downes, Smallbone, Fernandes, Kamaldeen, Onuachu

Stay tuned for the Chelsea confirmed lineup. There will be direct news as well as discussions on who was picked, who was dropped, and any tactical tweaks we may see from Maresca.
