Manchester United had a pretty eventful start to their 2025 as they fought hard to get a 2-2 draw against Liverpool in the Premier League. As they keep looking for ways to work in the winter transfer window, there have been new updates on the future of Marcus Rashford.

Which Clubs Are Interested In Rashford?
Fabrizio Romano has reported that “movements around Marcus Rashford have started” as the forward continues to be kept out of the Red Devils’ squad. It’s added that clubs like Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have both contacted the Premier League club to ask about the conditions required for a possible winter move.

The journalist claims that more contacts are planned between these clubs for the Englishman. Romano also reveals that Galatasaray had approached Rashford over the possibility of joining them in the window, but he is prioritizing options to join a club in Europe’s top-5 leagues for the time being.
The Athletic has also reported that some teams from the Premier League, as well as Juventus and AC Milan, are going to try and sign him on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season. Borussia Dortmund share a healthy relationship with the Red Devils and had signed Jadon Sancho from them on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 campaign as well.
What Did Rashford Say About His Future?
Rashford has not played for the Red Devils since featuring in their 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League on December 12, 2024. Soon after that game, the 27-year-old hinted at his desire to look for a new challenge in his career as he stated: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United.”

Since his comments, Rashford has not played any competitive football for Ruben Amorim’s side. The Englishman has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances for the Red Devils so far this season.
