Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for their second transfer window under Ange Postecoglou. The North London club have suffered so far this season due to injury problems. The manager has provided an update on possible plans for the January transfer window.

What Did Postecoglou Say About Transfers?

The Spurs manager was disappointed to see his side suffer a poor 4-2 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion in their final away game of 2023, where sloppy defensive mistakes cost them. “We’ve had one window with this team to change it around, to do things differently. The fact that we’re in the position we are is a credit to the players. For all the challenges we’ve had, we just kept ploughing forward and that’s what we’ll do. We’ll see what we can do in January but ultimately it’s about building a side that will get us to where we want to.”

Who Are Tottenham Targeting?

Postecoglou has already hinted that the Lilywhites will look to sign a new centre-back in the winter window to add more depth to their defensive options. Spurs have been linked to a possible move for Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin, who has been impressing in Serie A this season.

They have also yet to splash the cash on signing a like-for-like Harry Kane. Spurs have been reported to have an interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher if he’s available. However, Postecoglou is not giving much away in terms of describing his team’s approach for the winter transfer window.
