Tottenham Hotspur are seemingly aiming to add more young talents to Ange Postecoglou’s squad after seeing most of his summer transfer window signings excel in the first few months. They are now linked with Juventus’s Samuel Iling-Junior, a promising youngster from Chelsea’s youth academy.

How Much Could It Cost For Spurs To Sign Iling-Junior?

The Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella has claimed that the Lilywhites are firmly interested in signing Juventus’ young winger Samuel Iling-Junior in the upcoming year. It is also added that the Chelsea academy graduate is also attracting interest from a host of other clubs across Europe.

Kinsella states that the Serie A heavyweights would ideally want to keep him going forward, but are also ready to cash in on him knowing that the 20-year-old is eager to get regular minutes and that they cannot give that to him right now.

The journalist claims that Juventus are ready to accept an offer of around £15.5 million for the winger’s departure, meaning he can be a pretty cheap signing for Spurs. It is further stated that Tottenham are currently “leading the race” to sign Iling-Junior, who is seen as more of an opportunity signing than a priority acquisition for the club.

What Can Iling-Junior Bring To Spurs?

The England U21s winger has been hailed as an “assist machine” for his impressive performances for Juventus ever since joining the club in 2020 as an 18-year-old. He had spent nine years in the Chelsea academy before that, having joined them as an eight-year-old in 2011. Spurs already benefitted from delving into the Italian market for transfers in the past and even signed Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus as well.

Iling-Junior is an exciting left-winger but has even played in midfield for Juventus’ senior team this season. He impressed for the Italian club’s U19 side, scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists in 58 appearances. He has four goal contributions in 22 appearances for the senior side too, with most of his outings coming as a substitute. But it appears that the 20-year-old is eager for more game-time, as he could add more depth to Spurs’ wing as well as more creativity and incisiveness if the Lilywhites decide to sign him.
