According to Dharmesh Sheth, Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay is a transfer target for fellow Premier League club Fulham. The West London club is looking for options to replace Joao Palhinha who could be set to join Bayern Munich before the transfer window closes.

The Sky Sports reporter has revealed a surprising potential destination for the Scottish midfielder. Fulham are reportedly following the player in a bid to bolster their midfield in case they lose Joao Palhinha.

However, the journalist has also reported that Fulham will not find it easy to land the player as the Red Devils are expected to demand a hefty fee to even consider letting McTominay leave.

The Red Devils have been firm with their stance on the player’s future throughout the season despite serious interest from West Ham United. The Hammers offered £30 million for their prized asset which the Manchester-based club rejected.

Man Utd Midfielder Could Be Palhinha Replacement With Bayern Keen on the Fulham’s Star

The Craven Cottage-based outfit are already preparing for the potential departure of their star midfielder Palhinha, who scored a crucial goal to steal a point for his side at the Emirates last weekend, despite being reduced to ten men.

Bayern are understood to have intensified their pursuit of the Portuguese international in the last 24 hours, with manager Thomas Tuchel reportedly identifying the player as his “number one target”. His club are understood to have already rejected a bid of £47 million from the Bavarian club.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Palhinha has already “said yes” and agreed to personal terms with the Bundesliga champions, he could soon be on his way to Germany, if his club can confirm his replacement.

A deal for Fulham to acquire the Scottish international could be a crucial step for Bayern to sign their final transfer target, as Marco Silva’s side will insist that they sign a replacement before allowing Palhinha to leave.

McTominay, once described as a “monster” by Dean Jones, will add a lot of quality and bring the physicality required by the Cottagers to replace their star man.
