Tottenham Make Key Decision on Bayern Munich Offer for Harry Kane

What Did Spurs Chairman Do About Kane Bid?

It’s claimed by Burt that the Lilywhites received a new offer from the German side that was close to £86 million. This is stated to have been their ‘final bid’ and they set the deadline of midnight of August 4 for the Premier League side to accept it.

Burt now claims that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy simply just ignored the offer itself and did not pay any attention to Bayern’s alleged deadline. He is stated to have flown to the USA, leaving Thomas Tuchel’s side hanging on their latest rumoured offer.

It’s added that Bayern’s hierarchy now needs to decide whether they carry through with their interest to sign the England captain and persist with their pursuit or stick to their word and withdraw their latest offer. The Bavarians have been caught in a difficult situation with this blow and are still not any closer to signing Kane.

What Else Are Tottenham Working On?

Amid all the drama involving Kane, Spurs have been working smartly in the transfer market to seal some more signings before the start of the Premier League season. The Lilywhites are reportedly close to signing Wolfsburg defender Mickey van de Ven and are also rumoured to be signing Argentina youngster Alejo Veliz.

They recently announced the signing of young defender Ashley Phillips too as Ange Postecoglou keeps building his squad for the campaign. As it stands, it looks likely for Kane to start the Premier League campaign with Spurs and be involved in their opening game against Brentford on 13 August. The Englishman, who was hailed as “exceptional” by Pep Guardiola last season, scored 30 goals in the league in the previous campaign and was one of the best strikers in England.
