Liverpool Make Financial Offer to Mac Allister

Jurgen Klopp’s side are likely to make major changes to their midfield line next season, with veteran midfielder James Milner reportedly in line for a summer move to Brighton. In addition, even though they are reported to be facing stiff competition from the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal for Mac Allister, the Reds are working hard to get his deal over the line.

Romano adds that they’ve already done a presentation of their future project for him at Anfield as well as made the financial proposal as to what kind of wages he can expect to earn if he makes a move to the club. Mac Allister is rumored to be earning £50,000-a-week wages as a player for the Seagulls, so he will probably demand a major salary increase to join any other team.

For the time being, however, the Reds are still only in advanced discussions with the Argentine midfielder and have not reached any agreement yet. Romano mentions that the feeling around Mac Allister is he will 100% be leaving Brighton and a deal could be done by May or June too.

The midfielder gained a lot of fandom during the Qatar World Cup, playing a key role in Argentina’s success and going on to lift the trophy with his national side too. He’s gone on to enjoy a prolific season with Brighton, who are in a solid position to qualify for Europe next season.

He’s scored 10 goals and provided two assists in 33 appearances for the Seagulls this campaign and was described as a ‘very intelligent’ player by Sergio Aguero during the World Cup. He’ll probably fit into the Liverpool midfield three upon joining, giving them a major attacking threat and also another goal-scoring option. His hard-working nature and ball-winning ability can make him an ideal fit for the Reds, who can amp up the intensity of their performances if they are able to get this deal over the line.
