Alexis Mac Allister’s Impressive Performances for Club and Country

At club level, Mac Allister has been in fine form for Brighton this season. He has made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Seagulls, scoring seven goals and providing two assists. His performances have helped the club to make a push for the European competitions, with Albion currently sitting in eighth place.

The midfielder also played a key role in Argentina’s World Cup triumph in Qatar in 2022, providing the assist for Angel di Maria’s goal in the final against France. He has been a regular member of the national team squad since his debut in 2019, earning 14 caps in the process.

Midfielder Eyeing a Summer Move

Romano reports that the 24-year-old would love a summer move to a top club. He also adds that Brighton have not fixed a price tag on the Argentinian yet. Despite this, a big fight for the midfielder is expected in the summer.

Mac Allister’s father, who is also his agent, had this to say about his son’s future: “For now he’s in Brighton. He’s enjoying success in peace, in a team that loves him very much. He feels very well in the club, but we all know that in July there are serious chances he could leave”.

Interest From Manchester City and Juventus

Alexis Mac Allister’s versatility and technical ability have caught the eye of several top European clubs, with Manchester City and Juventus reportedly leading the race for his signature. Arsenal were also one of the clubs to show interest in the World Cup winner.

If he does move to join the Citizens, the midfielder would join a squad full of attacking talent, including the likes of Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and fellow Argentinian, Julian Alvarez. Additionally, his versatility and technical ability could see him play a key role in Pep Guardiola’s midfield rotation.

At Juventus, the 24-year-old would add another dimension to a midfield that has been criticised for being too slow and defensive in recent years. With his ability to play in multiple positions and create chances for his teammates, he could be just what the Italian giants need to revitalise their midfield.

In any case, it seems that Alexis Mac Allister will have plenty of options to consider this summer, with some of the biggest clubs in Europe reportedly interested in his services.
