Argentina Current Run of Form

Argentina are looking to continue an incredible run of form in this World Cup. La Albiceleste haven’t lost a single match since 2019, including the entirety of the World Cup qualifying campaign and the most recent Copa America.

Expect the South Americans to continue that run of form into this competition, with a perfect balance between age and experience and intriguing young talent throughout the squad.

Saudi Arabia Current Run of Form

Saudi Arabia are expected to do their best at the World Cup 2022, but do so without being on the best of form. The Middle Eastern side has only two victories in the last five matches, narrow wins over North Macedonia and Iceland, both 1-0. Al-Saqour haven’t won a match with more than one goal since October 2021.

The Saudis are good at keeping the score down, but they haven’t faced a challenge of a similar calibre since the 2018 World Cup.

Recent Head to Head

Saudi Arabia and Argentina have only faced off once, in an international friendly in 2012. The result was a relatively flat 0-0 draw, with nothing remarkable happening throughout.

Argentina vs Saudi Arabia Prediction

Whilst Saudi Arabia is normally used to a Persian Gulf, the gulf in quality between these sides is arguably larger than even that. Expect an absolute demolition job, with Lionel Messi looking to kick off his final World Cup campaign with a hammering. 5-0 to Argentina, and even that could be a kind prediction.

Current Odds: Argentina vs Saudi Arabia

Argentina are favourites at 1/5, with the draw next most likely at 5/1. A Saudi win comes in at 24/1.
