Manchester United and Juventus Now ‘Really Confident’ About Move for ‘Outcast’

Adrien Rabiot

According to the latest reports from Fabrizio Romano via CaughtOffside “all parties are now really confident” that Adrien Rabiot will make the move from Juventus to Manchester United.

The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is described by Football Italia as an “outcast” which may explain why Romano’s quoted fee is as low as £15 million for the maestro. The Red Devils are set for a fresh round of talks with the player’s mother to agree to personal terms.

Manchester United and Juventus ‘Confident’ of Adrien Rabiot Move

Panic Setting In

Following an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Brentford in Premier League action, the need for new players is more evident than ever at Old Trafford. While the 27-year-old “outcast” won’t solve all their problems and may cause some added ones behind the scenes, his quality on the ball can’t be denied and he’s exactly the kind of player that Erik ten Hag needs to be competitive.

A Bargain

If, and it’s a big if, Rabiot can get his head down to work then the reported fee of £15 million will be a major bargain for a team that isn’t used to pulling off bargain signings. It’s not like the Frenchman is a bad player, he was once a prime prospect looked at to carry Prais Saint-Germain forward, but his attitude gets in the way.

This is certainly a risky signing from the Red Devils, and likely wasn’t their first plan, but if it works out they could gain a commanding presence in their midfield for a pittance.
