Juventus Are Pushing Forward for a Top Attacking Option

Juventus Are

Juventus are moving forward toward a deal to acquire Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Bianconeri will be in direct contact with the German club this weekend to complete the deal. Kostic already has agreed to personal terms with the Italian giants.

West Ham United had been in the chase for the player, but Romano mentions that the English side is aware of Kostic’s desire to join Juventus.

A Potential Great Addition

Juventus needs to bolster their attack. Star Paulo Dybala left for AS Roma, Federico Bernardeschi left for Toronto FC, and Alvaro Morata saw his loan expire so he’s back at Atletico Madrid. The only reinforcement to come in thus far has been Angel Di Maria. The Argentine is as experienced as wingers come, but he looks to be on the decline after a mediocre season with Paris Saint-Germain last year.

The attacking options are quite slim at the moment for a team expecting to compete for the Serie A title as well as the Champions League. Strikers Dusan Vlahovic and Moise Kean and winger Federico Chiesa (who is coming off a major injury) join Di Maria up front.

Kostic would bring real talent as well as the abilities to become a starter.

He scored four goals and provided nine assists in 31 Bundesliga matches in a strong season overall for Eintracht Frankfurt. The season prior, however, Kostic scored four goals and provided 17 assists in 30 league matches. The 29-year-old creates endless opportunities and can help any attack.
