Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea ‘Seriously Working’ on £20 Million Deal for ‘the Next Top Young Talent’; Opening Bid Already Made

Cesare Casadei

According to Fabrizio Romano and Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea are plotting a move for Cesare Casadei, who is considered one of the biggest prospects in Italy despite never making a senior appearance for Inter Milan.

Kinsella writes that the signing of Casadei would pair with the club’s reported surprise acquisition of Carney Chukwuemeka as part of a long-term succession plan for the squad’s midfield: Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are entering their 30s after all. The reported fee for the starlet would be just £20 million.
