‘A Top Signing for the Future’
Fabrizio Romano describes Chukwuemeka as “a top signing for the future”.
“Many, many clubs were interested in this top talent born in 2003. A really important player for Aston Villa, but he decided to not extend his contract with the club, prompting the manager Steven Gerrard to exclude Chukwuemeka from the team”, he said.
Barcelona for long seemed to have the upper hand in the transfer battle, with a bid for Chukwuemeka reportedly coming from AC Milan as well. However, Chelsea were triumphant in the end.
