Sadio Mane Edges Closer to Bayern Munich Transfer

Liverpool’s Loss Is Bayern Munich’s Gain

As reported by Bayern Strikes, German legend Lothar Matthaus shared his excitement regarding the imminent signing of Sadio Mane: “Mane is an exceptional player and a difference-maker. He has provided goals and assists with Liverpool in a way and with a regularity that few other players in the world have been able to match in recent years.”

Bayern Munich have gotten the one they wanted. If they are able to keep Robert Lewandowski, difficult as that may be, a possible attack involving him and Mane will strike fear into defences across Europe and show the Bavarian giants are still a force to be reckoned with.

Mane will undoubtedly add a cutting edge to the German giant’s attack. He enjoyed a superb last campaign with Liverpool, scoring 23 goals in 51 games.

Used predominantly as a left-winger during his time at Anfield, the Senegal star has become one of the most deadly attackers in world football. He has appeared 269 times and scored 120 goals making him a firm favourite with the Kop faithful.

Despite the arrival of Darwin Nunez, Liverpool will miss the creative flair Mane bought to the team. In addition to his impressive goals-to-games ratio, he provided 48 assists during his time at Liverpool.

What Sadio Mane Brings to Munich

Mane is brilliant at driting off the wing to pick up pockets of space. His movement often creates space for Andrew Robertson to overlap. His goal return for a wide player is exceptional.

His in-game awareness, combined with his speed, often sees him get away from his markers in impressive fashion. His pace often sees him run in behind the opposition defence giving Jurgen Klopp a vital weapon. Liverpool’s loss is Bayern Munich‘s gain.
