Fulham have reportedly opened talks with Shakhtar Donetsk over the transfer of Israel international Manor Solomon. According to Daily Telegraph reporter John Percy, a deal to bring the 22-year-old winger to Craven Cottage would cost in the region of £7 million.

If the two clubs are able to agree a transfer, then Solomon would be expected to act as a direct replacement for Liverpool-bound Fabio Carvalho, who will move to Anfield in the summer after having already completed a medical.

Solomon Has Been a Regular in the Shakhtar Donetsk Attack

Solomon, a versatile winger who mainly operates on the left-hand side but is capable in playing in any of the forward positions behind a central striker, has established himself in Shakhtar Donetsk’s first-eleven. However, the Ukrainian Premier League is currently suspended due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Prior to the league’s suspension, Solomon made the left-wing position his own in Shakhtar’s side, and was heavily involved in the club’s Champions League campaign that featured games against Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

The winger has managed 26 appearances in all competitions this season, with each of his four goals coming in league matches.

Solomon is Expected to Fill the Gap Fabio Carvalho will Leave at Craven Cottage

Championship Leaders Fulham are hopeful of concluding a deal to bring Solomon to the club in order to replace Fabio Carvalho after the 19-year-old officially completes his transfer to Liverpool.

Replacing Carvalho will be no easy task, with the teenager having earned his move to Anfield off the back of a steller campaign in the English second division.

Carvalho has contributed hugely towards Fulham’s charge towards promotion this season, scoring seven goals and providing a further seven assists in his 30 appearances so far this season.
