Valencia Sign Bryan Gil from Tottenham Hotspur

Valencia Sign Bryan Gil

A deadline day full of activity has seen, among other dealings, Valencia sign Bryan Gil on loan until the end of the season. The move sees Gil return to La Liga after he joined Spurs last summer from Sevilla. He has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the North London Club. The move was confirmed in an official statement on the Tottenham Hotspur website. Valencia also confirmed the deal on their site with Gil saying that he will ‘give his all’ in his time with the club.

Return to Spain as Valencia Sign Bryan Gil

Gil Joins Flurry of Deadline Day Loan Exits

Gil joins other loan exits on transfer deadline day including Tanguy N’Dombele who has joined Lyon and Giovani Lo Celso who has also headed to Spain with Villareal. The 20-year-old winger has promised to return to Tottenham soon after he completed his move to the Spanish side.

Gil joined Spurs in 2021 on a five-year deal but has been a bit-part player under both Nuno Espírito Santo and current manager Antonio Conte. With just eight starts afforded to him in the current season, a loan move is seen as a good way for him to get more game time.

New Signings

The deadline day capture by Spurs of Dejan Kulusevski on loan with an option to buy means that Gil was going to be up against more competition and therefore the North London club have been happy to allow him to depart. Tottenham have also brought in another Juventus player, this time on a permanent deal with the signing of midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.

More Tottenham Outgoings

Tottenham may not be done with allowing players to leave the club before the 11 pm transfer window deadline with Dele Alli undergoing a medical with Everton as Frank Lampard looks to make an immediate impact in his new managerial journey at Goodison Park.
