Following the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus have been looking to off-load surplus players. One of those leaving is Dejan Kulusevski, who is set to join Tottenham Hotspur in a €40 million transfer.

Spurs Finally Make A Signing

After being linked to dozens of players during the transfer window, Tottenham have finally secured their marquee signing. Dejan Kulusevski, 21, will be travelling to London on Sunday to sign his contract. The Swedish winger joins on an initial loan, however, there is a mandatory buy clause for if certain targets are met, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano tweeted “Deal will be around €40m plus add ons – including loan fee and buy clause that could become mandatory in case of UCL qualification/certain number of appearances.”

Tottenham have been very active in the transfer window, however, they have failed to make any permanent signings. They were previously linked to Adama Traore, who eventually joined Barcelona. Other players that were linked to the club include Luis Diaz, who is set to join LiverpoolDjed Spence, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Sofyan Amrabat.

Kulusevksi joins Tottenham after a six-year stint in Italy. He originally joined Atalanta‘s youth academy in 2016 from his hometown club IF Brommapojkarna, who compete in the Swedish third tier. The winger has appeared nearly 100 times in Serie A for Atalanta, Parma & Juventus, despite being only 21 years of age. Kulusevski is known for his incredible pace, but also for his great chance creation. He scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in his first full season in the Italian top flight, and was subsequently voted Serie A Young Player Of The Season.

More Transfers To Come?

Spurs boss Antonio Conte has made it no secret that the Tottenham team must improve. The side currently finds themselves seventh in the Premier League, four points behind Manchester United in fourth. Conte was left ‘feeling flat‘ following Tottenham’s fourth loss to Chelsea a few weeks ago.

There is hope for Spurs fans, who could be seeing a new midfielder at their club very soon. Rodrigo Bentancur has been heavily linked with the club, even more so after Aston Villa reportedly distanced themselves from a potential transfer. The Uruguayan would also join the club from Juventus and would provide much-needed depth to their midfield.

There finally seems to be some hope for Spurs fans following an abysmal January transfer window so far. The club was recently turned down by non-league winger Ollie Tanner, showing the heights of issues at Spurs.

In terms of exits, Dele Alli & Matt Doherty are still looking to leave North London. Tanguy Ndombele is set to join Valencia on loan whilst Jack Clarke has already joined Sunderland on loan.
