Fantasy Premier League 2021/22 Gameweek 12 Picks
Quick Tips
Unlike the last international break, the South American players are returning much earlier this time, so there should not be many concerns over them. However, Cristian Romero got injured and will likely miss out on this week’s fixture. Watch out for other injury updates on the pre-match press conferences.
Fantasy Premier League 2021/22 Gameweek 12: Fixtures to Target
Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United
Tottenham Hotspur got off to a shaky start under Antonio Conte with a goalless draw at Everton last time out. They have an ideal home fixture against struggling Leeds United this week. Harry Kane had a productive couple of games for England as he scored an astonishing seven goals in those matches. Of course, consider the opposition but still, it should provide him with confidence as he looks to get back to scoring goals in the Premier League.
Son Heung-min also scored against Iraq and FPL managers will hope for better things from him as well. Sergio Reguilón and Emerson Royal went forward quite a lot against Everton. In fact, Reguilón wasted a big chance to score. So, these two should attract FPL managers as Spurs have comfortable looking fixtures coming up. On the other hand, Leeds United have many players out at the moment and will hope to have one or two return this week.
Manchester City v Everton
Champions Manchester City face Everton in a match they are expected to win easily. Everton are without a win in five, having conceded nine goals in those matches. Consider the likes of Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva, João Cancelo and Gabriel Jesus. City have a brilliant record against the toffees with six wins out of the last six against them. Andros Townsend scored a memorable goal for Crystal Palace at the Etihad a few years ago, though.
Watford v Manchester United
Despite Manchester United‘s poor form of late, Cristiano Ronaldo remains a major threat in front of goal. He should get plenty of chances against Watford and is a captaincy option as well. However, think twice before bringing anyone from the Red Devils as they face Chelsea and Arsenal after this week.
Fantasy Premier League 2021/22 Gameweek 12: Things to Consider
Three new managers will be making their dugout debuts for their new clubs this week. Steven Gerrard, Eddie Howe and Dean Smith will hope the new manager bounce is in full effect.
Newcastle United need the three points badly but Brentford have the players to hurt them despite being in poor form. It will be interesting to see how Eddie Howe will line up in his first game in charge. On the other hand, the Bees have lost four in a row but they will target this fixture to break that run.
Liverpool have a few players with fitness concerns ahead of the big game against Arsenal this Saturday. Roberto Firmino is definitely out and there are concerns over Andrew Robertson, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Naby Keita and Joe Gomez. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last eight games but Liverpool should win here.
All the other games this week look tight to call.
