Arsenal Interested in Juventus Forward Dejan Kulusevski

Dejan Kulusevski

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal is showing interest in Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski. Di Marzio mentions that Arsenal’s interest for Fiorentina starlet Dusan Vlahovic isn’t going anywhere just yet. Fabrizio Romano confirmed this, as he mentioned that Arsenal appreciates Vlahovic but there is no ongoing conversation as many teams are interested and a January pricetag will be quite high.

Kulusevski, however, remains a very talented player who can be signed at a cheaper price than Vlahovic.

The Player and the Fit

First off, Kulusevski is only 21-years-old. He’s often involved for Juventus at this age which speaks for itself.

This season, Kulusevski holds one goal and one assist to his name in 15 appearances for Juventus. Sure, this isn’t overly impressive, but it’s important to note that many of these appearances are off the bench while Juventus as a whole are also struggling.

Last season he scored four goals and provided three assists in 35 Serie A appearances. In the Coppa Italia, however, he scored three times and had three assists in five matches. Kulusevski performs when given adequate time.

He earned his Juventus transfer after an excellent Serie A debut season with Parma in 2019/20. Kulusevski scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 36 matches. That season Kulusevski was named as the “Serie A Best Young Player.”

Kulusevski is a very versatile attacking midfielder. Although the middle of an attacking midfield trident is his favored position, he can slide into both wing positions with ease. He carries the ball very well, which bodes well for his play style due to his lack of speed. A mix of intelligence and strength is the best way to describe Kulusevski’s game.

His rocket of a left foot is excellent for long and curling shots, and accurate passes in transition.

Adding him can be a bargain for Arsenal.
