Tottenham Hotspur Transfer News: Jack Clarke Wants Stay; Cameron Carter-Vickers Set to Leave

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news

The Tottenham Hotspur transfer news is certainly heating up in regards to outgoings, with the deadline approaching. Defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is set to depart the club on a permanent basis, with Spurs currently seeking a possible destination for him.

Meanwhile, Jack Clarke, a product of the academy, wants to stay at the club and try to impress Nuno Espírito Santo despite loan interest from a plethora of clubs in England and Scotland. On top of that, Tottenham Hotspur are attempting to sort a permanent departure for defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, according to Alasdair Gold.

We may well see the outgoings grow in the final hours of the window, but, within those will not be Serge Aurier, who will be staying put despite initial reports. Whether the right-back actually receives game time, however, is another story, especially with Emerson Royal on his way.

Espírito Santo Not Afraid to Hand Young Players a Chance

As we’ve seen already this season, Nuno Espírito Santo is happy to hand young players deserved chances. Look at Oliver Skipp, for example. The midfielder impressed many whilst out on loan last season at Norwich City before returning in fine form and gaining a place in the first-team as a result.

Jack Clarke, if he does get his wish of a stay, will simply have to wait for his opportunity and, when it comes, grasp ahold of it with both hands. The simpler option would be a loan move, he’d be guaranteed game time, but sometimes the easy way isn’t necessarily the best way. Clarke will have enough confidence in his ability; he will know that he’s goon enough to gain a place in Nuno Espírito Santo’s side. It’s just about proving that to the manager, himself throughout the season.
