Odsonne Edouard was a preferred target for Eagles’ boss Patrick Viera. The French forward has been a star in recent seasons for the Scottish side Celtic. Spending the last four+ seasons with the Glasgow giant, Edouard has scored a whopping 86 goals. Playing the vast majority of his matches as a centre-forward, Edouard also added 39 assists to his tally.
Even more impressive though is Edouard’s record in UEFA competition. Playing 42 times across both the UEFA Champions and Europa Leagues, the French striker has recorded an additional 15 goals. Given his high performance under pressure, Edouard has always seemed destined for bigger and better things.
Prior to his time at Celtic, Edouard was a star member of the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy. Playing for the French giant’s youth teams, Edouard’s first starring role came during the 2015/16 UEFA youth cup. Playing in eight matches, Edouard scored three times while adding another two assists to his tally. These performances directly led to Edouard joining Celtic the following summer.
Considering his talent and skill, Odsonne Edouard was definitely one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership. Now with Crystal Palace, Edouard will look to become a star player for his new club.
