Cardiff Striker Kieffer Moore Wanted by Wolves

Wolves Keen on Moore

Bruno Lage’s side have struggled at the start of the new Premier League season despite playing some good football and the main reason for not picking up points has been a lack of quality in the final third.

Raul Jimenez has returned to the side after a major head injury and the club want to offer him help. Although they made a big-money signing in 2020 when they landed Fabio Silva, he has yet to be seen as a starting player this season, leaving Moore as a perfect player for Wolves.

Impressive

Twenty-nine-year-old Moore scored 20 goals for former Wolves boss Mick McCarthy in the 2020/21 season for Cardiff and also caught the eye at the delayed Euro 2020 tournament. Cardiff will not be keen to sell their striker but they also have to face the issue that he is nearly 30 years of age and his transfer value is decreasing so they may be tempted to cash in for financial reasons.

Wolves are chasing a £7 million deal for Moore but Cardiff want more than that with the player having two years left on his contract and will be pushing for the fee they want before letting him leave. They will not be letting him leave on the cheap.

Realistic

McCarthy is realistic as he has always been and told molineux.news that he understands if the player wants to take his chance in the Premier League: “Look let’s be clear about it, if Kieffer gets a chance to play in the Premier League, he will want to do it. If he doesn’t there’ll be something wrong. If that (move) happens, I would be absolutely devastated for me, the fans and the club. But I’d be delighted for him.”

It will now all come down to all parties being happy with the deal.
