Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur Target Lautaro Martinez to Undergo Inter Milan Contract Talks

Lautaro Martinez

Lautaro Martinez has been the subject of a tug-of-war so far this summer between North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. Both clubs are determined to sign him but reports from Gianluca Di Marzio suggest he could be set to undergo talks over a new Inter Milan deal next week.

Inter Milan Want to Tie Lautaro Martinez to New Deal With Arsenal and Tottenham Lurking

The Italian side have already sold star player Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea this summer transfer window and it will be a huge blow to the Serie A side and their title challenges this coming season. It would be an even bigger blow if yet another of their key strikers was to leave and Martinez is certainly a man in demand.

Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the player but rivals Spurs have also entered the race for his signature and look eager to bring in extra firepower to the club this summer, with Martinez seen as the ideal signing.

However, these reports suggest that Martinez might be set to stay on at Inter Milan to try and fire them to title glory.

Meeting to be Held Next Week Over Striker’s Future

Martinez now has a meeting set up with the club next week to discuss potentially staying in Serie A with his current side, in a deal that may run until 2026. Talks will be held and these negotiations could be crucial in deciding whether the striker stays or leaves the club this summer.

If the terms are favourable and he likes what the Italian side are planning to do with him, then he could quash any rumours of a move away by signing a new deal. If the talks break down, Martinez will know his future lies away from the club.

Arsenal and Spurs then will be keeping a very close eye on the proceedings that are set to take place next week, with the hope that they could potentially land the striker this summer.
