Many More to Follow Carles Alena Out of Barcelona this Summer

Barcelona are in a complete financial mess. Several poor decisions made during the Josep Bartomeu reign has seen the club struggling to balance their books. The situation has become so bleak that the Blaugrana have been unable to re-sign Lionel Messi and register their new signings.

Carles Alena is not the first player to leave Camp Nou this season. Junior Firpo departed to Leeds United, and Jean Clair Todibo left for OGC Nice. Both were sold earlier in the window to improve the delicate Barcelona finances. Despite the sales, Barcelona are still a long way from reaching the required finances.

Apart from the fringe players, Barcelona are reportedly looking to sell some of their notables stars. Players like Philippe Coutinho, Samuel Umtiti, Miralem Pjanic are all reportedly on the transfer market.
