Juventus Consider Euro 2020 Star Federico Chiesa ‘Untouchable’

Federico Chiesa

Despite interest from Bayern Munich and Liverpool, Federico Chiesa will not leave Juventus this summer. The Old Lady consider their 23-year-old winger untouchable as he is a key part of manager Massimiliano Allegri’s plan for the club, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Federico Chiesa Not For Sale This Summer

In Form at Euro 2020

Chiesa has proven his worth over the past month as one of the stars of Euro 2020.

The Italian attacker has been instrumental in his nation’s run at this year’s European Championships. They will face England in the final on Sunday 11 July.

While Chiesa’s goal tally of two doesn’t tell the full story of his impact on the Italy team, they have both been absolutely vital. His first came in Roberto Mancini’s side’s round of 16 fixture against Austria, opening the scoring in extra-time after 95 minutes of stalemate. The Juventus man’s second goal was even more important, however, as it gave Italy the lead in their semi-final against Spain, a game they would go on to win on penalties.

Chiesa will certainly be a threat when the Azzurri face Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions on Sunday in the Euro 2020 final.

Juventus Consider Chiesa Untouchable

After having impressed for a number of years at Fiorentina, Chiesa finally got his big move last summer, joining Italian giants Juventus.

In a season that the Black and Whites will want to swiftly forget, having failed to win Serie A for the first time since the 2010/11 campaign, Chiesa was one of few positives. He bagged 16 direct goal involvements in the league across the course of the season, while also getting 5 in the Champions League and a further 3 in the Coppa Italia.

Not only were his stats impressive, so too was his versatility. The 23-year-old can play on both flanks, and demonstrated as such last campaign, with 24 appearances on the right and 17 on the left.

Still being young, Federico Chiesa will look to build on his successful first season with Juventus, as well as his exemplary Euro 2020 campaign, and will do so in Turin as a major part of Allergi’s plan.
