Chelsea’s board are confident defender Thiago Silva will extend his stay in West London, with the new Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, placing faith in the veteran leader.
The ex-Paris Saint-Germain captain joined the Blues in the summer after his deal at the Parc des Princes expired at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Silva initially signed a one year deal with the Premier League club, with the option to extend for another season.

The nous and leadership qualities Silva can bring to the Chelsea squad could prove invaluable to Tuchel, especially given the already established relationship between the pair.
